This website has
been set up by Michael I. Goldberg as the court-appointed Receiver
for Worldwide Entertainment Group. This website will be updated
often to keep creditors informed of the progress of the
receivership.
12/12/11 – MESSAGE FROM THE RECEIVER
I am pleased to announce that the third distribution checks have
been mailed.1 The total amount
of the third distribution was approximately $6 million and
represents a 3.39% distribution to eligible creditors. To date,
nearly $35 million in distributions have been made to eligible
creditors representing a 21.37% return of their principal
investment(s).2 I anticipate
making a final distribution in the case once all matters are
finalized. The date of the final distribution is unknown at this
time, however, I will continue to report on the status of all
pending matters periodically through this website.
Please also be reminded that it is essential for you to keep
us informed of your current contact information. All such changes
must be made in writing by completing the Change of Address Form
found under the "Forms" tab of this website.
Creditors may

1. For eligible
creditors with IRA investments, please be advised that your
distribution check has been mailed directly to your IRA
custodian unless you have directed our office otherwise. If you
have a change in your IRA custodian at any time, you need to
notify our office in writing of same. Please contact my office
at (800) 223-2234 for further instructions.
2. This percentage takes into account
both pre and post receivership distributions for some eligible
creditors due to the "rising tide" method of calculating claims
in this case. For more information on the "rising tide" theory,
please refer to the FAQS section of this website.
